About Us
Kangaroo Court was established in 2003 by Neil McCurley. Formerly Head of Drama at Waingels College, Reading, Neil’s vision was to create a company capable of offering young enthusiasts a tangible route into the profession.
The first company of actors, directors and producers have all moved on to work in film and theatre but they still meet regularly as the Kangaroo Court Board to collaborate on new projects. They also offer support to Kangaroo Court’s new generation of aspiring professionals.
At Kangaroo Court we produce at least three major theatrical productions each year. We also run scratch nights; produce community and educational workshops; and provide actors for PR work. The company is based in Berkshire but we perform nationwide.
