Welcome to Kangaroo Court.

We offer young practitioners a route into professional theatre and media careers with one or more high profile annual productions, monthly scratch nights, training courses and internship/work experience opportunities. Our first company of young actors, directors, producers and marketing staff have moved on to further training or to careers in the profession. Destinations include The American Repertory Theatre, Moscow Arts Theatre, Central School of Speech and Drama, RADA and Bill Kenwright Ltd.

In 2010, we will be hosting our scratch nights on the fourth Wednesday of every month in the upstairs function room at Zizzi's in Henley on Thames. Actors, writers, musicians and other artists can come along and perform to an audience of like-minded people.

Previous nights have featured singing, drama, poetry, a magician, a hypnotist, a comedian, a new film script and a double bass performance. We're nothing if not eclectic! The next night is on February 24th.

If you would like to attend or perform - anything - please contact us. If you would like to be in the audience, simply turn up. Admission is £2 but free to performers.

Our most recent theatre production was 'Cleansed' by Sarah Kane, which was performed at Norden Farm Centre for the Arts in Maidenhead. The four night run was sold out. This was the second Sarah Kane play produced by Kangaroo Court. The 2006 performance of 'Blasted' was described by the BBC as 'one of the most gripping nights of theatre you are ever likely to see'.
